Registering for Huutokaupat.com requires you to be of legal age, enter your contact information and password, and authenticate with Finnish online banking credentials. Finally, your email address is confirmed via an activation link, after which you can log in to the service and place bids.
You can register for Huutokaupat.com to bid on items by following these instructions.
Creating a user account
- If you are of legal age, you can create a user account from the "Kirjaudu" button at the top right corner of the homepage, or here via this link. Please review our terms of use when creating an account.
2. To create a user account, we ask you to fill in the following information
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password (at least 12 characters long)
- Address (Choose your permanent home address. This address will also appear on sales contracts. The delivery address can always be edited during payment)
3. Select customer type. If you do not have a business ID, select "Private". If you have a business ID, you can select "Company", which allows you to place bids with the same account both as a private individual and for your company. If you wish to apply for advertiser rights for your company while creating your user account, please read the detailed instructions in the How do I start advertising? article.
4. After entering your information and clicking the "Tee tunnus" button, a page will open where you will be asked to authenticate with your Finnish online banking credentials. You can also do this later, but note that you cannot place bids until you have authenticated. All users are identified to increase the reliability of the service.
5. To authenticate, click the "Aloita tunnistautuminen" button. After selecting your bank, the site will guide you through the authentication process. Enter your online banking credentials and approve the authentication. Once authentication is complete, you will return to Huutokaupat.com.
6. Finally, please check your email. You will receive a message through which you must confirm your email address. You can confirm your email by clicking the activation link in the email or by entering the activation code from the email on the site. If necessary, please check your spam and promotions folders.
7. Once you have activated your account, you are ready! In the future, you will log in to Huutokaupat.com with the account you created. Your username is your email address.
