When will I know if the seller accepts my offer?

This article explains when a bidder can expect a decision on whether the seller accepts the offer for an item.

The timing for offer acceptance primarily depends on the auction's sales terms. Sometimes, the acceptance of an offer may be delayed for other reasons.

  • Sold to the highest bidder
  • The seller reserves the right to accept/reject the highest offer
  • Other

Sold to the highest bidder

You will receive an email notification about the acceptance of your offer immediately after the auction ends. At the same time, you will receive payment instructions.

The seller reserves the right to accept/reject the highest offer

When an item is published with this sales term, you will receive an email notification after the auction ends if your offer is the highest. After the auction ends, the seller has two (2) business days to decide whether to accept or reject the highest offer. Once a decision is made, you will be notified by email.

If your offer is accepted, you will receive payment instructions at the same time.

Other

Sometimes, the item listing mentions that acceptance may take longer than usual. In this case, the seller may accept the offer with a delay.

A delay confirmed already at the publishing stage is often due to decision-making factors related to public administration or a similar client.

If there is no mention of a delay in the listing, and as the highest bidder you have not received information about the acceptance or rejection of your offer, please contact our customer service via the contact form. We will contact the seller and urge them to make a decision. As a bidder, you also have the right to withdraw from the sale if the seller has not made a decision within two business days.
